Show not Tell

When I woke up in the morning I heard my dad snoring down the hall way. As I pulled my blanket off I had goose bumps and I was shivering. The smell of eggs on toast was coming from the kitchen. "Mmmm that smells nice," I thought.  I took off my blanket and ran to the kitchen.  When I got there  my mum was standing beside the stove with the frying pan. "Good morning son, breakfast is ready," said Mum.

The Samoan Performance

On Friday morning Tamaiki College Samoan men and girls came to our school to perform and help the Fiafia Samoan group.  They performed at the Polyfest In Auckland they came 4th place so I reckon they wanted to show us the experience. When we walked In the hall we saw the Samoan group sitting on the stage. When most of the school were seated they stated there slapping dance. They were cool because they were synchronrsed and fast.

When they  finished their 2nd to last performance they tried their hardest to finish It off properly. Their last performance was a beautiful song that was sung In Samoan It nearly made me cry. When they finished Kaycee came to ask some questions.

When I grow Up I won't to be In an maori performance so I can go to the poly fest.

The treaty of waitangi

On 1840 february 6th there was a treaty in the Bay of Islands at Waitangi. The maori chiefs and the british signed it. The treaty was between Queen Victoria and the Maori people. The Maori were trying to bring peace to New Zealand and solve the problems. The contract was a legal agreement.

The three P’s are partnership, protection, participation. It is about helping other people help them with their knowledge
and when they're getting older.
