About This Year

About this year it was awesome because we went on trips and camp. the best thing I loved about this year was going to Madison bay for our camp we got to go on water slides and a very long flying fox. We got to choose who we slept with I chose my best friends. It was a long way to get there it was like 4 hrs but I didn't fall asleep because on our huge bus there was TV's and we watched movies. Finally when we got there I was so excited because I saw heaps of things even Archery we went to have morning tea and I saw a big Checkers board. Then Mrs Tela'a told us to go play I went to go play volley ball in the sand.

We were only staying there 2 night's. but the best thing was on our third day we got to go and have a swim at parakai hot pools it was cool.

Wiremu TECH

Every tuesday we go down to Tamaki College. We go down their to do TEK there's 4 classes Graphics,Cooking,Music and Hard Materials i’m in hard materials. Some people are building helicopter's out of wood and me and damien are doing a pencil holder we are nearly finished all year we have been doing it we love it and our teacher that teaches us is Mr Grundy he is cool.

He helps us every second but the most best part is moving. I loved cooking because we cooked heaps of things that were very nice and on the last day of cooking we cooked butter chicken it was the best this was a opportunity for going their.

Athletics Day

Yes Friday that was the best day of this hole term it was Athletics. As we got outside I at the courts I saw all of the obstacles I wanted to do High jump because that is my favorite thing. My house colour is Te Aurere. Mr Burt came out to the court and said the karakia before we all went to do our Athletics I put on heaps of sunscreen it looked like I turned white. The first obstacle we done was Dicus the teachers that were doing it was Mr somervell and Miss Tito. There were two parts of them were just having

fun doing throws or you want to do the real one to go to the International competition. I just done the fun throws because it is very hard and I don’t got a good hand even no it is pretty long. When I threw it went really high but out of the circle. Then we heard Mr Burt turnt on his cyrin and thin we changed to a different obstacle the next one was Javelin It was very cool I tried to throw it and I hit it with my head and then it was my friend’s turn and he done the same too.

My favourite obstacle was high jump. When I first jumped and didn’t make and then I had another turn and made it I was so excited because it was my first time doing scissors. We kept going until we had to move on to 100M sprints I was so scared but lucky I was running with the people that were my weight and when Mr Burt clapped I sprinted my hardest and I think I came 4th. Then It was time for our last round I got a fright when Mr burst clapped again guess what I came 5th. I was happy with it and finally my fears have gone and it was the end of our athletics.

Wiremu Google Cardboard Expodietion

 Yesterday was very exciting day because we had google. When I walked into my class I saw on the table a phone with a google cardboard in it. Then Mrs Tele'a came in and told us that the Yr7’s will do theirs in the morning and we do ours after morning tea. After that we went into the street and It was my turn to look threw the google cardboard I looked in to it and we had to spot a snake and we were in a forest I kept looking around and I was moving a lot after that we went into space and I just turned my face and saw a man right next to me because it is 3D.

It was cool because we went all around the world. I felt like I was gonna fall because we went up to the highest building in the world and we were just on the edge of it and I was getting scared I looked down and saw a lot of beaches. Then we had 5 minutes and went up to space and I was nearly all of the planets it was interesting Then he took us to the moon and I saw this space cart I was trying to touch it.

And then I was looking still at the moon then out of the blues. It say Wait for the teacher i the phone and our turn was finished everyone motion were like excited.

Wiremu Time With Friends

Yesterday after morning tea me and my mates were excited. We were doing the amazing race their was only 4 rounds. We had to go into the street and then Mrs Tele'a told us where we were going to. The first place me and my friends went to was the peas challenge the first person that went up was Koro Beau he said that it tasted yuck then I felt really disgusted. I had to hold my breath for a very long time I didn't like the peas because they were still frozen. We had to pick them up with straws.

Then we went to see who came 1st 2nd or 3rd. The team that came 3rd was team B the 2nd place was my group team a and 1st place was team C. We got 70 points for coming second and me and my friend were surprised that  we came 2nd. Then we saw that we had to change. Me and my friends thought what fear factor is, When me and my mates walked was saw this bowl with spaghetti some fruit and tomato sauce. It made me and my friends want to spew.

But then the teacher said the first challenge is to eat a dry weetbix. When they said go I looked at their faces and it looked like the throat was dried up. my friend went to go up and he started coughing out the weetbix out of his mouth.  Then It was suddenly my turn but the challenge changed it was the spaghetti one when I put it in  my mouth I wanted to spew then my friends were telling me to put it all into my mouth but I couldn't then it was time to change people to go up.

The last person to go up was koro beau he put it all into his mouth it looked very yuck. Yes it was time to change groups again this was me and my friends 2nd to last challenge to do. Our 3rd challenge was to do a pattern me and my friends felt that it was boring the question that i had to do was what did people use to look thru wars

guess what it was a window. I still felt sick so I didn’t do anything until we moved on to the next challenge.

I liked the next challenge it was photo booth. Me and my friends were crack up laughing because we done funny facials. There were 4  places that we could get costumed up the first one that I like was the hats and boxing stuff it was cool as we done a bike I had to go on my friend and to put two hands on the ground. then my other teammate had to sit on  Vita's face and Sateki was sitting on my back and we told Mrs Tele'a to take the photo then we all fell down and Vita was saying I can’t breath!!!. I was so funny.

Wiremu Immersion Assembly

Coming back from holidays then through to school ....how boring. When I walked into the hall I felt really surprised to see what we were learning about and to see all of the teams 1s 2s 3s 4s and 5s performance. We just finished watching them all. The best theme I liked was team 1s one was funny because they played this video that showed a lot of animals that I haven't seen their was this seal that kept following the boy when he was running.

When the video was still playing a song went on. The song that was playing is called roar and they done a karaoke song and the bottom 2 were Hannah and Marie and the winner was Marie she won a pass to the zoo with the year 1s. The 2nd group I liked was team 4 because Mr Somerville was in a green room that was showing the zoo and Mr Somerville. Said to one of his students look at the back of you he shouted and the student said I can’t see anything then everyone started laughing in the hall even some of the teachers.

The last one I loved was team 5s their one was about  different cultures and food. When the teachers  were walking up the stage I saw these plastic plates with noodles. When Miss Peaoto walked on to the stage she had a Samoan flag around her body. Then they had a noodle challenge and guess who one it was Miss Clark because she is Asian and no’s how to eat them but she put it all into  her mouth. After they all got up Miss Peato said We don’t eat like that Samoans eat with their hands she said.

Then Miss Masela came out and said Tongans eat with fork’s not these little sticks she said. Yes the assembly is nearly finished after it all finished Mrs Tela’a came out with these drawing’s and everyone got to have a look. Then it all finished.

What a day kicking off with a nice start.

What I done this week

This week Ms Ky-la came into see us and it was her last day of saying seeing us. She gave us a Quiz to do to see what one you picked it goes like this what we Andy do on this site and I would pick Tell a teacher or close this page. The questions were up to ten I got them all right then we started this other presentation and it's how we can keep safe.

In our maths we done Angles it is very hard to keep it still.

This week in maths we were learning about ratios. A ratio is a comparison between 2 numbers, when I first try it out I needed a little bit of help but then I thought about it and it started to get a little bit easier. Everyone has learnt about it if you wanna have a go at figuring some of it out just go on to Mr Wiseman's maths page then go down to ratios. When we do it read the part where it says do this and that and it sort of tells you what to do.

Even this week I had to do reading and writing It is so hard.  We are learning about Nasty nits it is a bit yuck because it got heaps of things that are in your hair. But our Writing task is how to prevent yourself from getting sick and staying warm
 

Wiremu Saving Project

We can save money so I believe that in the end we decided to save more money. Sometimes if you don’t know where to put the money give it to your mum and dad.  The reason you gave it to them so you can save. When you’re at home by yourself turn off all your switches and leave the one on that you are using.  But people suggest that you should spend it on the dearest stuff but you’re just trying to be cool and then you will have no money to buy food and drinks. Besides dumb people try to be cool just worry about yourself and family.

Want's Vs Need's

The way I spend money is on cheap stuff because you can save some money. But if it would be the things you really need it would be a bit expensive. If you spend it on expensive stuff like Ipods,PSP,PS4 and much more. You desperately need food to survive like Chicken, Scrambled eggs, Vegetables.

Some people can't survive because they need something to sleep on and you would need some water too,

The main thing is Need & Necessity.  when you want something you’re just wanting more and do you know that you’re wasting more money and you will have to stay in the streets. But need are something that you actually need which is more better that wanting something because that’s so expensive and need is a little bit cheaper

Banning Cell Phones From School

I agree that phones should be banned from school because it’s bad. People should not bring phones to school because they take photos of their friends and some take photos with their teachers to. Why do people bring phones to school they must think it is very funny to bring stuff like that to school because someone could steal it and you might not get it back. When I got my first phone I bring it to school and when I put it inside my pocket and then at the end of the day I checked my pocket and It wasn't there.

If you bring a phone to school you should put it somewhere safe. You can just tell your teacher that I’ve got an phone and then he will tell you to turn off your phone and then put it in the carbide. Do you no if you have a phone and then you bring to school and go on the Wifi you are wasting MB for our school to learn.  When it class time and you phone is not in the carbide and then you hope on your phone then you forget what you were learning about.

People just be Idiots when they bring special things like that to school. They are just dumb and I betcha there family is not proud of that.

Wiremu Persuasive Writing

I disagree to this writing because who would make up this solution. This piece of writing is very dumb because lots of children won’t to play instead of learning. We will get hungry if there was no morning tea or lunch time and we would been starving and that's why we disagree because whoever made this writing is stupid. Instead of learning we should do games outside or in the school hall and then when it comes to morning tea we should have 1 hour and the same as lunch time.

In the school holidays we should have the same as the christmas holidays. People think that our playtime is wasted but it’s not we have to because we will get hungry and have no fun and nothing to do. If we can’t call anybody's name how would we get there extension to listen at us and encase there was an emergency. If we had to spend 6.5 hours of school everyday we would of been not learning properly and I think some mums and dad will have to pull their children out of school.

We should do outdoor activities everyday so we get fit and settle our minds.

Tinkering Tools And Toys

Today we have finish making our Foosball table that has taken us 5 weeks to make. Our group is called the creators, First we went to find some cardboard boxes then we came back and we told our teacher that we have found something that we could use. The next day Mr Wise man had some cote hangers that we could bend to make it fit threw the holes for the line that we are putting the people on it took us heaps of time to do it. Then we still had to fine some corks to make it fit on our lines so Mr Wise man had to go buy some for us we used heaps of tools and materials so we had to wait for other people finishing with it.


We are half way threw our product that we are a making. It's not the same as all the other ones that are at the game center but less we have made something it sort of looks lame. It is really old school made because we put our corks on and when we finish putting the black tape on we started to move it but it wasn't moving so we tried something else then put tape on the people. We are just nearly finished we still trying to think of something to do for our people they keep coming off the tape  so we took off the tape and it worked. We have finished our product.


Our Foosball table looks awesome every one in the year 7 and 8 block could play with it know. I can't wait to share what we have done and all of the tools we have used.

Writing Explanation

It is important that we rest our bodies for a better day tomorrow and our minds will be concentrated.  When I go to sleep I think about what's gonna happen tomorrow but then I dream that If I do something wrong I go work by myself. I sleep because I wanna learn and move up a level for reading and writing which that could make my report better so my family will be happy for me. Why we have to sleep is because we don’t wake up late and yon everyday and make our teacher’s angry then we make them tired and they wanna go to sleep that's why its better to focus instead of being dumb.

The purpose is that we sleep and then wake up early to get to school. When you are older and you go to work your beaus will tell you when you get home have a rest to settle down you’re brain and then you will say OK beaus. I told my mum and dad that If you sleep you our getting brainier and your brain’s getting bigger. When  i get to school I tell my teacher I’m ready to learn and he will say l did you have a early night , I will say yes I did. Do you know why we sleep it’s because when you get to school your teacher will be finished talking and you forgot what she said that means your mind’s switched off.

When you sleep there’s no one around you so just set yourself off mode. When I go to sleep I pray for a better day tomorrow and that I’m not going to be naughty or that my minds not on. I wished that we could make everyone go to sleep at the same time so they don’t be late for anything that they have to do and everything will stay the same.

QLD VS NSW

QLD VS NSW

Late at night State Of Origin started and everyone was there to support them. My favorite team is QLD they won the game, QLD:11  NSW:10. It was an awesome game, it was so unbelievable QLD always wins phew I thought for a minute the NSW was going to win, lucky QLD won. I  just can't believe it that QLD won. It’s like Qld wins the game and NSW wins the fights.

Can't tell you how much fun that was! Love experimenting with new technology. The live streaming outside the ground before kick-off has lots of potential and we'll be doing more of that in Melbourne. Thanks for tolerating the glitches, such as no sound on the replays. To me, Queensland has one hand on the trophy. Daly Cherry Evans will come back into their side, Paul Gallen to NSW's line-up. OK, hot off the presses, some audio I recorded a short time ago in the Maroons sheds with assistant coach Michael Hagan! It's kind of a tactical debrief and Hages has some really interesting stuff to say. This is also the 75th episode of White Line Fever - good night!

Future Aspirations

Today, We heard from Marcus Aka the sandman and Louis Gordon the basketball boy. When we all came into the street we saw Andrew Patterson who introduced us to these two people.  Andrew finished talking then introduced Louis Gordon, I liked him because he played basketball and I like basketball to when he showed us his video and it was controlled by camera on his Ipad app. When he pushed game over it just stops by itself. Louis skipped to a part where he done a slam dunk and we all went goo far it was beast as then he told us how he got rejected from some of his team players that weren't his friends. He was coming to an end of what he was saying to us and said to us a quote but I couldn't remember them. Andrew introduced another person that he collected.

The next guys name is Marcus aka the sandman he is off a add making art from sand. I saw a video of him he can make lots of art made from sand just on a glass. Marcus can make a rugby field out of sand and make all kind of things. When Marcus got here he showed us some of his moves from Bruno Mars the song called Uptown Funk you up its really cool Marcus was teaching us how to dougie. Marcus told us to stand up and we had to copy his moves he turned the song on and then we all done the dougie but we done it twice. We done it our hardest on our second one and everybody laughed. When we finished that thing he told us that he done art on the streets and then he got asked to do art on a cruising ship and he done it he was so happy that he done that. Marcus told us some of the bad things that he got bounced from. Guess what he got bounced from New Zealand got Talent.  Markus was nearly finished he said his last word and then moved over to Andrew.

This is a really nice story about all our warriors who died for us in war. Jimmy and Eric were in war but I think they started when the war was nearly finished  but less the were in it because they were fighting for us to but there lucky because they never got killed. they were fighting in 1953 but that’s Jimmy but Eric started in 1942. When the brothers Roo and Kairoo joined  war they  got beat up   his family in war was trying to get him out but they couldn't. The pacific Island boys weren't up to this task but they were just singing samoan songs and  being funny when they're in war that's bad because what if you wandered around and got shot. Jimmy decided to go home because he didn't want to get blowed up then Eric thought he should go so he went back with him to but I feel sorry that the others stayed and died just for us.

Tangaroa Sculpture

I learned how to use a Ailao and spin it on my hands. Sometimes I failed  because it takes up a lot of time to finish learning it because you can drop it every time we were learning with Maori Kava that's his name he's cool. He was teaching me how to do it, I just got it you keep spinning It side ways and then stop half way and it will just spin over your hand.  The 3 boys are named  Lee and Deacon there from Howick College They are the best and professionalism dancers. They came to our school to repsent us and teach us how to use a Ailao.

Your part German and you should not be like that I hope you still have family your mum is part Irish I know that you  don’t know how to speak German yet but when you get older it will be better. They think it’s a big mistake but it’s not you should be able to go back to tonga because that’s where you belong with you and your old friends I know how you feel you are so lonely without you and your father and mum. Tamaki College

Yes, we’re going to Tamaki College We all went outside with Miss Peoto and Mrs Tela’a. I was waiting for this day when we got their we walked into a hall of people for different schools. I was shy because when we had to stand up to go get our name tags because I saw that their were my old friends and cousins.

Our first activity was music because I loved music and our teacher was a man but I forgot his name. He was cool because he called out our name and we told him our favorite singer. Then we had to make up our own beats on beat lab or button bass its cool. I saw drums and I asked him if i was allowed and he said yes and I was going crazy but the bell rang and it was time to switch.

Yes Its Science time I love science because you can blow up stuff and make stuff. Our teacher’s name was Mrs bunce she told us ex sample  of what where making and it was awsome it came out like a volcano. Then she said do you know those glasses over there and gloves go put some on then we went to seat down. We had something next to us with water next to it then she said to put the water in the bottle.

We put it in with dishing liquid and then we mixed it together and it turned green. This other lady came and said pick your colour we picked red for our school so it turned red this is the last part of it. I put it in carefully and boom! some bubbles came out but they were in a long string when got cold we felt and it was yuck man but then it finished she told us to say what we enjoyed doing with her and said I learned how to make science and it was really cool with her.

1. Put the oats, coconut, flour and sugar in a bowl. Melt the butter in a small pan and stir in the golden syrup. Add the bicarbonate of soda to 2 boiling water, then stir into the golden syrup and butter mixture. Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and pour in the butter and golden syrup mixture.

I enjoyed myself at cook with Mrs Tela'a. When we finished cooking I got to try them and they tasted nice. Tommorow you should make them because they are nice and if you could make them I hope you do it right.

About the polyfest

Wow yesterday was exciting and was got to meet John Key, He talked to us to. When John Key left our group went to go play Squash I was last the best score in the world was 263 woo that's high but our one was 124 we beat the girls . Then we went to have morning tea we got shouted donuts yeah buddy Mr wise man said that it was time to go see F lava we took some pics with them then they put there page I can't wait to see them.

Oh man  I saw that there was rock climbing there and I didn't want to do it but then Mr said we are not doing it yes. Far they'v got heaps of things hear food stores even shakes I brought one it was nice then we got to see the Bollywood dance. We were watching there performance for a while then we moved on finally we went to sit down. We all got ASB hats and we got free glasses and a pack edge it was col man but then It started to spit so we went under the tent and ate our lunch.

It was time to split up in  our teams and went to see the Kapa Haka group and it was relax full. Mrs Tele'a called us in ans said some stuff but the dome stuff that she said that It was time to go back to school so I got my things and went on the bus I wanted to go to sleep  but I did'in because we were nearly back to school it was cool at the polyfest I was dreaming about it. Yes where back at school finally I was so tired from the Poly fest  and being n the sun far the bell rang so I went back to my car. This was the best day of school of my life.\

The Polyfest

The ASB polyfest is for all cultures lots of young people participate in every stage. Its  just high school people that can be in it I’ve got some brothers that are in it i’m gonna watch him it’s gonna be funny. This event is important to know about you culture and know about your past and your ancestors there is lots of groups you would know and people to its gonna be cool.

All the performers would of had to go threw a hard time practising. I think they would of had to stay after school for ages and listen to the leader and learn some moves that will be tiring. If that was me I would of listened hard out because I want to be on TV that will be the only thing to put me in for.

Our cultures at the polyfest are mixed up into different teams its awsome. I’m maori I feel lucky because we get to watch the maori stage I think that we have lots of maori’s at our school. I betcha that all of the teachers can’t wait till we get there because some of the TV people will be there.

I can not wait till I get there It gonna be like a jungle I’m happy. When I get out I’m going to run to the maori stage and see if there’s any of the TV people  It’s gonna be exciting and I’m going on saturday. I’m gonna see the maori group I hope they win because I want feel my culture and I want take some pics to with them It gonna be a cool day and long.

My goals for 2015

My goals for  2015  is 

1. Go a level up in maths. I hope that I will make my family proud by doing my work and get a good report then I could get pocket money and try my best at the test. 

2. Try out in the rugby team and learn how to tackle so I could be the best out of all of them.              

3.  My last goal is to have 100% attendance to come everyday to school so I could learn more things and switch my ears on be good.
