Art Te Tehi

On Tuesday the whole of class 4 went to the Art Gallery in Pakuranga. When we got their we had to wait for a while and watched some Sketchup then a lady came and told ‘’ You're ready’’. It was cool because a guy named Jeremy and to us to a Art drawing place. Their was 4 things that we had to draw    Interests,Family'S ,Home and Culture.

When Jeremy told us all the things we had to do we done It. First we had to do Is shade all of the Squares Next step was drawing Our  Interests,Family'S ,Home and Culture. We had finished it but the final thing was putting Ink on It and Our paintings were really cool and realistic.

We moved on to the Art Gallery and we sit down. Jeremy told us about water and how come we need it he showed us this video of people in the olden days and they looked really poor and old. Finally Jeremy said we are done for today then Ana from our class had to thank him then we went back to school.

Future Aspirations

On Wednesday people came and told us about Future Focused. Mr Samuels first note was To Miharo Hoki then he told us about his self on What Now.  Its still on, What Now started in 1990 and know its 2014 he was funny as because he showed us this video of him and his friends from What Now.

When Mr Samuels was finished his speech Andrew Patterson came out and showed us a Video. The video was about a boy speaking in front of 350 people talking about his self and his Future. The boy was from Manurewa College but on the video he was at Intermediate he was brainy as doing his Speech and he was cool.

Then Andrew came out when the video stopped and Andrew said ‘’ Next 3 people are going to talk to you’’ . I looked and I saw someone come out I think that’s not one of the 3 people I thought that he was someone else. The man Introduced himself and ‘’ I hope your future is gonna be good’’ And I hope that happens.

Yes Its time for one of the 3 people to talk to us. His name was Paula He told us about Future aspiration and how he died he said ‘’ Won’t to talk about how I died or something else’’ We said About how he died so he said yes.

He told us the story, When I was a little kid I was the best swimmer in the school because I kept touching the ground and running Haha!! then We went to the finals. He was getting ready to dive and they dived in he was swimming really fast without  cheating so he slowed down because other people slowed down but he tried to touch the ground but he couldn't. Paula Drowned  the lifeguard dived in and got him the he done something to him and hes still alive. and that the end of that story.

Then I was up to the 2 person to come out her name is Melisa. She is a clothes designer and make famous clothes she makes new clothes that are not  yet only for 2015. She has congratulated from college and now she is a perfect designer. The people that are on TV doing the stylish things that she makes and the she said that the end of my story then she said by.

Friends are cool and their good to play with. Friendship is kind it is like somebody saying good stuff to another  person and playing with people that are your age. Having friends is good you don’t have to buy friends you make friends by using your mouth and asking people if they want to play with you.

When you play with people you have to play sensible games and with the right behavior. When your in class and you're sitting next to your friend working and their telling a joke you don’t laugh about them because they could be about your other friends. You could can annoy your teacher with your friends by doing stuff wrong and not listening  so yo should listen to the text and what you are doing

I know it is cool having friends but sometimes they can get you on to trouble. Everywhere you go with your friend can stop your work and your friends in class that need help but you are the one that is responsible for your life and self managing other people. When you get back to class you are on trouble because you never know what you’ve done.

If someone scabs off you and they keep asking you need to tell the teacher. Once in my life when I was year four I always got on trouble got in fights and even swearing at people older the my age which is real dome. Friendship is alright to have in your self and sharing it to other people that don’t have it and be mindful to them back.

Friend is helpful to other people you need to show it to your world. It is happy and joyful to have because It comes to you and it goes to everybody in the hole world and it makes our world even happier than we are know. So lets make the most of It by using our hearts and our brain and opening our future.

All Blacks

This is my persective drawing anamation.

Article about the volcanic eruption in Hawaii.

In part of the USA, in Hawaii there was a volcano that erupted. It threatened the whole town. The lava destroyed the properties that people owned so people got upset.

The emergency teams Police, Ambulance and the Firefighters went to the scene and checked to see if anyone got hurt or stuck or dead. This would have been sad. The lava was 1,650 degrees F (900 C).

The lava flow advanced about 10 yards an hour towards Pahos village. The volanco's name is  Kilauea. The lava went into Pahos Village. It went into a private property which no one was allowed to go in.

The Trip to the Museum

On Tuesday all of team 5 went to the Auckland Museum. When the second bell rang we all went to the Street to know who our team leader was. Our team leader was Ms Paget then that was finished and we hoped on to the bus.

When we got to the Museum we went to see this lady but I forgot her name. She told us to go up and eat our morning tea. Now we got to something and it was sort of like an mission but we had tom draw Pacafic drawing. We got to play this Connect game and it was really cool.

Our last thing was taking photos of a Tree,Bird and Staches. We were lucky because our teams got to go and see the flour garden. But then the buses arivied and we went back to school.

Wiremu Explanation Empathy

What if you see someone crying you should go and help them?.This is showing empathy. Empathy is a kind word which can help people but if there was no empathy in the world there would be more robberies, homeless people with no food and there would be more wars.

What would you do if the world was not showing empathy.?  

What I would do is change the world to show empathy so that everybody would be be kind and careful with other people's property and feelings. If someone is not helping others I would go up to them and remind them to help others and show empathy. I sometimes see people tagging next to my house and that is bad they need to show empathy so they think about the person whose house it is.

Empathy is about putting yourself into someone else’s shoes. There are many different ways that you can show empathy. When you see some crying you can help them. If you show empathy you are respecting other people and making your friends happy. If you hit one of your friends that means you are not showing respect.

When you are in class and one of you team mates needs help he can go ask someone that is helpful and will help them. If you’re playing a game and someone comes and asks if I can play

and the other person shouts at them and says NO!. that means the other person will go crying. By being empathetic someone would help them out and let them join in.

Our goals for empathy are to help others that help you back even if you don’t like them as a friend. You need to always be thinking about how other people and thinking and feeling.

Ammersion Assmelbly

“Finally the holidays are over and this is our last term for 2014”, I exclaimed to Damien. This morning the whole school went into the hall and lots of our teachers were dressed up in Art clothes. Suddenly Mr Burt came out and announced, “Our theme this term is Art Attack.”

After different performances by different teams it came to my favourite one. “Its is time for team 4”, Mr Burt shouted. It looked like their performance was going to be cool.

When team 4 was ready Miss Garden, acting as a news reporter, went to Miss Lavakula. Miss Lavakula said she was Fatu Feu’u the Samoan artisy. She had to say what her hobbies were and where she lived. Then we moved on to the other teachers all dressed up as artists. We had to clap to each person and the funniest and coolest was Mr Somerville. He was speaking with a different accent.

When it was the end we all screamed Art Attack!!!. It was amazing in the hall looking at the performance. “This term is going to be great,” I whispered to my friend.

Adding Detail

Never in my life I had faced such a difficult challenge. I stood in front of the cargo which looked like a towering wall. My hands felt sweaty  and my heart was pounding...Ill never be ready for this.

It was Physical Education and there was lots of equipment around me like poles and balls. The net was something we all had to do and we needed to at least try to climb it all the way up. I was not a good climber, and never  had been taught how to do it. I wanted to turn away but everybody was staring at me. My legs felt wobbly and my breathing was shallow. I grabbed the net in my hands  and began to climb up. Hand over hand I reached cautiously to each rope. “I can do it,”  I encouraged myself as I went. “I hope I don’t get rope burn or splinters” I worried. I tried not to think about feeling scared of heights  so I tried my best. Suddenly I went more slowly the longer I climbed.

I stopped and my legs  felt weak and there was still so far to climb.

I called to the teacher that I was finished climbing up. I lowered myself down real slow with determination. I was thinking that I had tried my best and hardest but still not enough strength. I still most likely cannot climb the  cargo net any longer. But I was pleased I had tried it and it is all over.

My Story - Opening Scene of La Luna

We watched the opening scene of La Luna and we wrote about it here is my deprecation.

In the pitch black night there were lots of stars. The boy was sitting in the boat peering into the ocean. He was listening to the sound of the man padding with the oar  and the water going up and down.

High Jump

High jump is a sport in Olympics. It contains speed and jump it is played every year at England for Olympics. It is in a big stadium and the best is Valearai Adams she comes first every year and at Glass-glow.


The field that gets played on is circular. You would need a hard ball and you have one base to stand on for your shot. When you win you will get a gold medal and if you lose you can get a bronze or a silver one.


It most got played in the 1990 but know they don't. It gets played all over the globe.

Wiremu Gaelic football

Gaelic football has 15 people in a game. It is similar to hurling and  camogie it is a traditional game in Irish ball game it is not played in every country only played in some. It get played every year in stadiums and fields even farms.

   

The objective of the sport is to score points. By passing the ball through the other team's goals 3 points a set of two upright posts. It is separated by a crossbar from 2.5 metres 8.2 ft above the ground. It is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch.

Gaelic football got made in 1998 that's when it got played in different places. It got made for  15 years and then they started play in tournaments.

All Blacks

On Saturday the All Blacks game was on. It was All Blacks vs Wallabies and it was the finals. It was at Mt eden park it was a little bit far as we got there we gave the tickets to the man. The stadium was big. When the game started all of the All Blacks came out and I got to see them.

The first try went to the All Blacks and they got a run away. When the 2 teams were getting lots of tries the game was  nearly going to be half time. Then the game was coming to end and guess how won? All Blacks!!!!.

Kabbadi

Kabbadi is a game that lots of Indian people play. It was was originated in India 4000 years ago. Kabbadi means holding hands in the language of Sanskrit. It is similar to Wrestling and rugby. It includes skills which are defending,tackling, agility and speed.

Did you know that girls are starting to play Kabbadi around the world. Kabbadi is still playing today in tournaments and for fun. The british army had played it and that how it became famous.

How to play Kabbadi and instructions. You need a big diels get 3 partners plus your self then 1 person goes in. When you get tackled down a raider goes in and helps you but from the other.  It contains 7 people per team 1 person goes in and when he gets person goes in and tackles him down.

Kabbadi is profissional done in india and played every year. Everybody loves Kabbadi because you  can be on TV Newspaper and even songs the people that play are strong heavy and hard. You would get thrusted to the ground and get hurt in Kabbadi and you could get engerd. When they finish the game they don’t get to pop shin pain only fake medals. That’s how they made are new future

Hi my name is Wiremu and I am coming first out of our hole school on  math whizz. I am coming first because I always do my whizz and I never exit out of it. If you want to come first you need to do it correctly.

Skills

The connection to the game with the seven cones but there seven stars. The seven stars are for matariki for our maori ancestors who brought you kids and people up and made you. They survived for you.

The Ki-o-rahi game is full of perfect hard skills. The field is circular it is real small but  you can go out but you can only get the ball the outer circle is the 7 pou.  It is apart of

the 7 stars of matariki.  If you hit it into the Te Tupu you get a try only 1 point the points go up to 15. The Maori ancestors want the world to have a new life playing Ki-O-Rahi.

Robin Willams

Robin Williams was actor and made lots of movies. He was nominated for the academy award and he came first. Robin was born in Chicago in 1951 on July 21st. He was depressed and he died which was sad. His funeral was in Chicago and his whole family was there.

It was real sad because he was real funny and made cool movies. This is my best movie.

Kahurangi Kapahaka Performance.

"Kia ora everyone," said Aroha as we all got a fright. We had just arrived at this kapahaka performance in the hall. There were 5 people, another guys one name Lucky. He was humorous. When  they were doing  really cool dances the  5 people had  powerful voices. As they were telling some stories some of us were getting bored.

After they had finished doing the dance they picked 2 kids and 1 teacher from our school. Their names were Auri, Korobeau and Mr Goodwin. They had to try copy the moves the man with the stick was doing. They were all funny because all of them did it wrong. When the man and the lady were performing they had beautiful perfectly pitched harmony which nearly made me cry.

suddenly Lucky and Aroha started doing a really loud hake. Lucky was scary because he does really scary pukanas and did funny facial ex. Everybody was giggling because Lucky does googly eyes and he started waking people with his Maori stick and said ‘’ Hey why are you laughing!!!’’ Then we moved on.

Finally its was coming to the end but we had to finish with a story. Aroha told us something about the Maori people back in the old days and the guy was playing the guitar. The story was making me tired and I just had to stay awake. When it was the end we all said ‘’ Kia ora!!!’’. As we left I had cranp in my legs Then I noticed it was time to go for a run.

Kio rahi

Finding a way with focus and concentration as the player is trying to hit te tupu. So the player was defending though his way to the te tupu. The player busted with speed and hit the te tupu.

Going To The Sky Tower

Waiting on the platform I was shivering so I tucked my jacket in. After we had got the tickets for the train  we calculated the time it would take till it got to the station. Everybody was yawning while we waited for the train to arrive. In the distance we saw the train gradually coming towards us. Suddenly Ben said to me ‘’The train is arriving to pick us up and take us to the Sky Tower.’’ As it came it rumbled into the station. The doors opened with a loud hiss then we hopped in.  

As I got out off the train I couldn't see the Sky Tower. But when we went around the  corner the sky tower was towering over the buildings. When we were half way I saw the beacon on top of the Sky Tower guiding the planes. I saw the bungy jump target for jumping off the tower which is really cool and scary. Looking up I saw little people in orange jumping. As I put my head down I noticed dirty huge concrete pillars around the base of the Sky Tower.

Going up on the elevator I felt butterflies in my tummy. When we were looking at the wall of the elevator there was a see-through glass panel and we saw every thing out side.  My legs were trembling  I looked down then I got a fright because there was another glass panel on the floor that we could see down the elevator as we were going up. When we hopped out I felt that I didn't have any courage to step out because there could be something that was going to break.

On the observation deck I went for a walk around in a circle and my friends followed  me. We found some bean bags and we had a lie down. As I walked on the glass I said to damien ‘’Come look damien ‘’ Then we thought it was going to brake because sometimes it can’t hold our weight but it did.

After that we all had our morning tea  we looked out the window I saw Eden park, Mt Eden and a bridge opening. Suddenly we saw a count down on a monitor and we saw the people bungy jumping and it was cool.

Finally we went back down the elevator and we felt tired. Some of us couldn't breath because we were going down real fast but I didn't it was tickley and cool. Then we said to the lady ‘’ Thank you’’ And we walked to MD’s. As we were walking we saw Rabbitohs vs Storms on the TV but my teacher said, “Keep on walking”  Finally we arrived at MD’s and we all brought us something to eat and it was really nice and we left.

At the end of the exciting morning we were back at the station ready to go back to school.

Civic Theature

When it began a man came out and said ‘’ Hope you enjoy it’’ He said. The first movie was all about mums and dads that are Airplanes, Cars and boats that  was funny but then a storm came and blew it away which is sad. Then the movie was finish with a loud Bang!!! and everyone got a fright.

The most funniest movie Giraffe. There was lots of them jumping off a diving board and doing a big bomb because there was a Giraffe hanging on to a rope to make them go high. At the end of that movie the draft on the rope fell into the water and they drank it Yucky!.

Then the ceremony ended then we went back on the bus back to school and had owe morning tea.

Diving

Diving is a sport that includes jumping and falling. your distance could be high or small there is competitions when you jump you can do twist and summer scouts. Your body precision has to be straight and feet touching at all times to make a bigger splash.

The judges make the points how ever does the highest splash. you can give them 1 point 2 point 3point 4point 5 point 6 point 7 point 8 point 9 10

point if you make a small splash you will get small point like 1 point or 2 point it will be the judges choice.         

It about olympics so you can win but if you lose you can keep striving. When you win you get a golden medal. because it not people that choose it the judges do from the distance because they want the perfect shaped people.
