About This Year

About this year it was awesome because we went on trips and camp. the best thing I loved about this year was going to Madison bay for our camp we got to go on water slides and a very long flying fox. We got to choose who we slept with I chose my best friends. It was a long way to get there it was like 4 hrs but I didn't fall asleep because on our huge bus there was TV's and we watched movies. Finally when we got there I was so excited because I saw heaps of things even Archery we went to have morning tea and I saw a big Checkers board. Then Mrs Tela'a told us to go play I went to go play volley ball in the sand.

We were only staying there 2 night's. but the best thing was on our third day we got to go and have a swim at parakai hot pools it was cool.

Wiremu TECH

Every tuesday we go down to Tamaki College. We go down their to do TEK there's 4 classes Graphics,Cooking,Music and Hard Materials i’m in hard materials. Some people are building helicopter's out of wood and me and damien are doing a pencil holder we are nearly finished all year we have been doing it we love it and our teacher that teaches us is Mr Grundy he is cool.

He helps us every second but the most best part is moving. I loved cooking because we cooked heaps of things that were very nice and on the last day of cooking we cooked butter chicken it was the best this was a opportunity for going their.

Athletics Day

Yes Friday that was the best day of this hole term it was Athletics. As we got outside I at the courts I saw all of the obstacles I wanted to do High jump because that is my favorite thing. My house colour is Te Aurere. Mr Burt came out to the court and said the karakia before we all went to do our Athletics I put on heaps of sunscreen it looked like I turned white. The first obstacle we done was Dicus the teachers that were doing it was Mr somervell and Miss Tito. There were two parts of them were just having

fun doing throws or you want to do the real one to go to the International competition. I just done the fun throws because it is very hard and I don’t got a good hand even no it is pretty long. When I threw it went really high but out of the circle. Then we heard Mr Burt turnt on his cyrin and thin we changed to a different obstacle the next one was Javelin It was very cool I tried to throw it and I hit it with my head and then it was my friend’s turn and he done the same too.

My favourite obstacle was high jump. When I first jumped and didn’t make and then I had another turn and made it I was so excited because it was my first time doing scissors. We kept going until we had to move on to 100M sprints I was so scared but lucky I was running with the people that were my weight and when Mr Burt clapped I sprinted my hardest and I think I came 4th. Then It was time for our last round I got a fright when Mr burst clapped again guess what I came 5th. I was happy with it and finally my fears have gone and it was the end of our athletics.

Wiremu Google Cardboard Expodietion

 Yesterday was very exciting day because we had google. When I walked into my class I saw on the table a phone with a google cardboard in it. Then Mrs Tele'a came in and told us that the Yr7’s will do theirs in the morning and we do ours after morning tea. After that we went into the street and It was my turn to look threw the google cardboard I looked in to it and we had to spot a snake and we were in a forest I kept looking around and I was moving a lot after that we went into space and I just turned my face and saw a man right next to me because it is 3D.

It was cool because we went all around the world. I felt like I was gonna fall because we went up to the highest building in the world and we were just on the edge of it and I was getting scared I looked down and saw a lot of beaches. Then we had 5 minutes and went up to space and I was nearly all of the planets it was interesting Then he took us to the moon and I saw this space cart I was trying to touch it.

And then I was looking still at the moon then out of the blues. It say Wait for the teacher i the phone and our turn was finished everyone motion were like excited.

Wiremu Time With Friends

Yesterday after morning tea me and my mates were excited. We were doing the amazing race their was only 4 rounds. We had to go into the street and then Mrs Tele'a told us where we were going to. The first place me and my friends went to was the peas challenge the first person that went up was Koro Beau he said that it tasted yuck then I felt really disgusted. I had to hold my breath for a very long time I didn't like the peas because they were still frozen. We had to pick them up with straws.

Then we went to see who came 1st 2nd or 3rd. The team that came 3rd was team B the 2nd place was my group team a and 1st place was team C. We got 70 points for coming second and me and my friend were surprised that  we came 2nd. Then we saw that we had to change. Me and my friends thought what fear factor is, When me and my mates walked was saw this bowl with spaghetti some fruit and tomato sauce. It made me and my friends want to spew.

But then the teacher said the first challenge is to eat a dry weetbix. When they said go I looked at their faces and it looked like the throat was dried up. my friend went to go up and he started coughing out the weetbix out of his mouth.  Then It was suddenly my turn but the challenge changed it was the spaghetti one when I put it in  my mouth I wanted to spew then my friends were telling me to put it all into my mouth but I couldn't then it was time to change people to go up.

The last person to go up was koro beau he put it all into his mouth it looked very yuck. Yes it was time to change groups again this was me and my friends 2nd to last challenge to do. Our 3rd challenge was to do a pattern me and my friends felt that it was boring the question that i had to do was what did people use to look thru wars

guess what it was a window. I still felt sick so I didn’t do anything until we moved on to the next challenge.

I liked the next challenge it was photo booth. Me and my friends were crack up laughing because we done funny facials. There were 4  places that we could get costumed up the first one that I like was the hats and boxing stuff it was cool as we done a bike I had to go on my friend and to put two hands on the ground. then my other teammate had to sit on  Vita's face and Sateki was sitting on my back and we told Mrs Tele'a to take the photo then we all fell down and Vita was saying I can’t breath!!!. I was so funny.

This is my reading that I have done today I hope you like it.

Wiremu Immersion Assembly

Coming back from holidays then through to school ....how boring. When I walked into the hall I felt really surprised to see what we were learning about and to see all of the teams 1s 2s 3s 4s and 5s performance. We just finished watching them all. The best theme I liked was team 1s one was funny because they played this video that showed a lot of animals that I haven't seen their was this seal that kept following the boy when he was running.

When the video was still playing a song went on. The song that was playing is called roar and they done a karaoke song and the bottom 2 were Hannah and Marie and the winner was Marie she won a pass to the zoo with the year 1s. The 2nd group I liked was team 4 because Mr Somerville was in a green room that was showing the zoo and Mr Somerville. Said to one of his students look at the back of you he shouted and the student said I can’t see anything then everyone started laughing in the hall even some of the teachers.

The last one I loved was team 5s their one was about  different cultures and food. When the teachers  were walking up the stage I saw these plastic plates with noodles. When Miss Peaoto walked on to the stage she had a Samoan flag around her body. Then they had a noodle challenge and guess who one it was Miss Clark because she is Asian and no’s how to eat them but she put it all into  her mouth. After they all got up Miss Peato said We don’t eat like that Samoans eat with their hands she said.

Then Miss Masela came out and said Tongans eat with fork’s not these little sticks she said. Yes the assembly is nearly finished after it all finished Mrs Tela’a came out with these drawing’s and everyone got to have a look. Then it all finished.

What a day kicking off with a nice start.

What I done this week

This week Ms Ky-la came into see us and it was her last day of saying seeing us. She gave us a Quiz to do to see what one you picked it goes like this what we Andy do on this site and I would pick Tell a teacher or close this page. The questions were up to ten I got them all right then we started this other presentation and it's how we can keep safe.

In our maths we done Angles it is very hard to keep it still.

Then we done a presentation that is up top we done 3 things about these facts.


I was trying to think about some things like Games,MB and facebook. We've been talking about when Icloud could not be safe.

What I've Learnt

 

  Here is an example of what we do.

This week in maths we were learning about ratios. A ratio is a comparison between 2 numbers, when I first try it out I needed a little bit of help but then I thought about it and it started to get a little bit easier. Everyone has learnt about it if you wanna have a go at figuring some of it out just go on to Mr Wiseman's maths page then go down to ratios. When we do it read the part where it says do this and that and it sort of tells you what to do.

Even this week I had to do reading and writing It is so hard.  We are learning about Nasty nits it is a bit yuck because it got heaps of things that are in your hair. But our Writing task is how to prevent yourself from getting sick and staying warm
 

Wiremu Saving Project

We can save money so I believe that in the end we decided to save more money. Sometimes if you don’t know where to put the money give it to your mum and dad.  The reason you gave it to them so you can save. When you’re at home by yourself turn off all your switches and leave the one on that you are using.  But people suggest that you should spend it on the dearest stuff but you’re just trying to be cool and then you will have no money to buy food and drinks. Besides dumb people try to be cool just worry about yourself and family.
