Sound

A world without sound would be strange and silent. We wouldn't be able to enjoy music and people would find it difficult to communicate. It would be boring. Sound helps us in many different ways, but what is sound?

Sound is like when you drop a rock into a puddle and the ripples go in all directions. When an object vibrates and then the sound molecules move and go into your ear.  When the air molecules moves into your ears  then the ear drum starts vibrating. It makes electrical signals to your brain. This tell your brain what the sound is.

How is sound different? When a sound wave vibrates fast it has got a high pitch. When a sound wave vibrates slowly it has a low pitch. How fast a sound wave vibrates is called its frequency. Frequency is measured in Herz.

How Bats Locate Their Prey

Echolocation is the way some animals locate their prey and navigate. They send out sounds that bounce back  into their sensitive little ears. When the bat sends a high pitched signal if it comes back something is there.

There is a boy named Ben who is blind. He makes clicking sound and uses echolocation. He does the most dangerous things like he was riding his roller skates and he rode into a car.

Team Assembly

Today we started school finally we had a break from work. This morning we had team assmebley and It was awsome  when we were wachting some of the movies about science and other stuff and it It was fantasic. When team 1 had finished Mr Burt started handing out little rugby balls then he had balloons attached to his little taxi and he had it from 1990 and the It went up.


Finally It was team 3 turn and it an colourful movie. When Miss Barks was talking the other teacher was dancing and It was funny. When they had finished It was team fours turn and It was about sinking there one was cool because the gave out some questions. then last act and It was team 4 and It was about sounds and Mr barks had this big thing and it made noises and It was cool as.
